Students Comenius Lyceum in Amsterdam throw their waste in these trash cans

The Comenius Lyceum on the Jacob Geelstraat in Amsterdam West has become even more beautiful. Since Monday 6 January, large full-color trash cans have adorned the auditorium of the school community. When the students returned from their Christmas holidays, they found trash cans in their school building.

The school for VWO, HAVO and VMBO education in Amsterdam New West had a budget for new bins and did not want standard bins. They ended up at Barrelkings. We can print any kind of artwork on 200 L drums. So Custommade. The waste bins are made from 200L oil drums.

Different prints have been made: many bright and striking colors with different themes, many flowers, fruit and vegetables and of course the canals of Amsterdam. Andy Warhol's famous Campbell soup tin is also available. The art history teacher will be delighted with this functional form of pop art within the school.

The bins are equipped with flame resistant lids that nicely conceal the garbage bag. Fire brigade and insurance happy, but it also just looks nicer. There are wheels under the trash bins, making the bins easy to move.
